In general there are three types of Bottom Hole Assembly BHA In drilling:

- Slick BHA Type
- Pendulum BHA Type
- Packed BHA Type

The Slick BHA

This type of bottom hole assembly (slick BHA) consists of a Drill Bit and Drill Collar without Stabilizer.
